Although I work with B2B companies large and small, freelancers and consultants also call regularly asking for advice about how to optimize their sites, how to market themselves, or how to get a home-based business up and running.
As a result, I began offering my Strategic Marketing Coaching Clinics and realized I had found my true calling after receiving not one, but two calls from a coaching client telling me how excited and thrilled she was with my recommendations.
20+ years of hands-on industry experience: Big companies, small companies, manufacturing, corporate, not-for-profit – you name it, I’ve done it.
10 years running my own business: Since 1998, I’ve been managing my own business, DH Communications, Inc., while raising my son, who is now almost 12 years old.
True marketing expertise: I learned on the job – and continue to do so. A Contributing Editor for MarketingSherpa for two years, I had the opportunity to glean insight from executives and managers at companies across the US and Canada. I’m often quoted in marketing blogs, books, and articles written by other marketing experts.
I’m also a frequent speaker at local industry association meetings including SEMPO Boston, Yankee chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), The Publicity Club of New England, the New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA), and ForeclosuresMass.
I’ve sat on local association boards, including NEDMA and the Yankee IABC. In addition, I volunteered four years of my time to my alumni association, which included a two-year stint as President, and increased Association membership by 33%.
I’ve also won awards for everything from on-going B2B marcom campaigns and e-newsletters to viral e-books and direct response campaigns. My latest e-book, Five B2B MarCom Strategies to Increase Sales Now, won a coveted platinum MarCom Creative Award – one of 14% of entries to do so – and one of my client’s viral campaigns is a featured case study in David Meerman Scott’s book, World Wide Rave (Wiley, 2009).
